This student had to temporarily give up her dream of higher education for two years after Class 12, where she scored 72%. Her parents are no more and she resides with an aunt. But her eagerness to study spurred her to take up a job with a textile company. With some of the money she earned, she enrolled herself in diploma course in hotel management. She continues with a part-time job after finishing college classes at 3 p.m. and returns home by 10 p.m. Her hard work meant that she was able to pay Rs. 15,000 of the course fee in the first year. She needs to pay Rs. 15,000 more and Aalayam will support her with this sum to enable her to continue her studies in the second year.
